We felt it was time to can that old clunky theme and start again. Hopefully this one will be easier on the eyes and everything will display properly in all types of web browsers (I’m looking at you IE). Bear with us as this will be only the start of changes to come. Big things poppin’ here at IllStyling so keep checking back for updates on the site!

I feel like LRG is trying to emulate those fresh sweaters you see when you stop for gas while driving through the middle of butt-fuck nowhere. You know the ones. They usually have a picture of a bald eagle or something and they say “The Queen Charlotte Islands, British Columbia”. For real though, this is a dope sweatshirt and if what’s to come is only a fraction of this thing’s freshness, I’m satisfied. This is a damn good start to the season for Lifted Research. Pick up one of these bad boys here.

These Spongebob sneakers are a far cry from what you’re used to seeing in Wal Mart, I assure you. For some reason, A Bathing Ape thought it a good idea to do a collabo with a cartoon character that has seen more shoes than tricks see johns. Spongebob is a shoe whore and I guess Nigo thought he could do something different with Nickelodeon. I am a fan of Spongebob; the stuff is hilarious if you’re in the right state and you go in there with an open mind. I am a fan of Bapestas, who isn’t. I don’t know if I’m a fan of this callabo though. If it’s your thing though, please go check out the auctions.
P.S. The shoe box is almost worth the price tag alone.

Time for some new, simple, and beautiful denim from the boys over at Lifted Research. This pair is called “Another Batch From Scratch” hinting at the fact that when they make a new pair of jeans, they start from the ground and work up. Every single garment is a labour of love and these jeans are no different. I’ve spoken before about how great I think all the, some might say, boring jeans are; these are no different. You can see how LRG likes to keep it simple while still playing with the stitching on the back pockets. On the left side of the two pockets, four different coloured threads start making the same “L” pattern we’ve grown to love. As they travel accross the pocket though, they become further apart, then finally, start to come back together again. Also, the finishing threads that secure the back pockets to the rest of the pants are playfully sewn down the side of the pocket creating another taste of the freshness in a plain pair of pants. Dr. Jay’s just dropped this pair of pants so they’re going to have it in your size. Pick em up.

I remember reading about these “Rising Sun” Sk8-Hi’s when they first dropped. When I went to look for them on the internet, they were simply not available. I came accross them earlier this morning while digging eBay and immediately started looking for more. These shoes are Christian Hosoi’s pro model design and they mean business. Really, there’s nothing else to say. You’ve seen Sk8-Hi’s a million times before, but what you’re looking at is different. Check out if they’re still available in your size.

It only gets better gentlemen. The LRG Spring line up keeps kicking and is going muay thai on us with this one. With this one, what you see is pretty much what you get, but what you see is incredible. It seems the grays are going to stick around for Spring. The large striped remind me of Rocksmith’s latest collection, without all the colour. So far this year, this is my favorite thing I’ve seen from LRG that covers the top of your body. I don’t know exactly what it is, but I love the simplicity and class this sweatshirt exhibits. You can pick up this baby in your size right here.

LRG’s Spring stock is beginning to arrive at Dr. Jays. Good thing too; it’s about time for some new hoodies. What you’re looking at here is the “Kings of the Kitchen” zip-up. It features an intuitive all-over print of chefs cooking and cleaning, with LRG logos spattered about. The front hand pockets are zippered to maximize the streamlined look and prevent your cell phone from falling out. This hoodie also features the silver Lifted Research pendant on the back of the neck like many other LRG garments. You can be the first to own some of LRG’s Spring collection by clicking here.
