LRG Art Thrower Zip-Up Hoodie

Published by Style-Fiend under Hoodies

lrg art throw hoodie

Dr. Jay’s has a few new LRG hoodies and I know they are always a crowd pleaser.  This one in particular is very cool.  LRG keeps the train running and consistently is putting out great clothing.  This hoodie features a javelin thrower with the new for this season LRG crest logo on the left breast.  If you need a new zip up hoodie in spring colours, then click through and check this one out because it’s the best I’ve seen so far.

SENSE Custom Ringo Bear

Published by Style-Fiend under Art, Designer Toys

ringo bear sense kidrobot

Check out some more toys for the girls and boys.  This is one of Joe Ledbetter’s Ringo Bears customized and autographed by none other than street artist SENSE.  Entitled “The Peacemaker”, SENSE puts lots of hard work, detail and love into this piece.  Often, I like getting the un-hyped but still beautiful pieces because they seem to be more personal and less commercialized than, say, the toxic version of the Ringo Bear. In the end, you need to buy pieces of art that you like, not necessarily the ones that are the most expensive or the most hyped.  I like this one.

Gorillaz Red Edition Figures by KidRobot

Published by Style-Fiend under Designer Toys

gorillaz red kidrobot

A couple of years ago, Kidrobot released a few sets of the Gorillaz figures; all of which were fantastic.  The picture above is of the rarest of the four editions, the red edition.  The set was limited to 2,000 worldwide and sold out in a matter of days.  Now, a few years later, all the douchebags that bought the set just to sell it, have sold it, so the remaining sets are in the hands of very deserving collectors.  This makes it very rare to see the red edition for sale.  The set includes all four members of the band: 2D, Murdoc, Russel, and Noodle. The figures are all designed by Jamie Hewlett, the man behind the actual drawings and practically half of the concept of the entire project.  These are some of my favorite toys to display and they always get comments.

Nike Air Max 90 The Running Man by Misha

Published by Style-Fiend under Sneakers

nike air max 90 running man

Nike paired with well respected artist Misha Hollenbach to create the Air Max 90 piece of the “Running Man” pack.  Air max 90’s are fantastic enough in plain white but when Misha aka Perks of PAM puts his hands to them, something incredible is created.  Misha gave the kicks a very desirable splattered midsole, custom laces and some signature artwork on the leather shield on the back.  The colours were selected because of their association with the artists homeland of Australia.  The kicks were originally thought to be European exclusives but they have made their way into nearly every other market through various quickstrike accounts.

Kidrobot Tiger Dunny by Joe Ledbetter

Published by Style-Fiend under Designer Toys

kidrobot tiger dunny ledbetter

The Latest 8-inch Dunny from Kidrobot has just finished selling out.  It was called the “Tiger” and it was quite obviously the work of Joe Ledbetter.  This marks Ledbetter’s first venture into the Dunny realm and in my opinion it is a pretty fantastic effort.  Ledbetter’s style is apparant in the big cute eyes and thick black lines.  If you decide to go hunting for your very own Tiger Dunny on eBay, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the blue-striped chase edition of the Dunny because it is even more limited than the plain grey one.  There are also a bunch available for sale that have Ledbetter’s actual signature on them.

Hillary Clinton Upper Deck Card

Published by Style-Fiend under Collectables

Well since we had an Obama Mask post up I thought I’d find something equally as amusing for Hillary. Needless to say it didn’t take me long to find something even more horrific. Apparently the employees of Upper Deck were on there hands an knees searching to pull this card out of circulation…I can see why.

Lasonic i931 Vintage Boombox Ghettoblaster iPod Dock

Published by Style-Fiend under Gadgets

lasonic i931

You are looking at the Lasonic i931. Production year 2007, I kid you not.  Whether it’s for standing on the corner giving yourself some beats to listen to or hitting the skate park, this is THE boombox to have.  Styled after the iconic 80’s ghettoblasters, this stereo commands attention.  The two speakers put out a full range of sound so you get that deep bass that is so often left out from traditional iPod docking stereos.  This thing will charge your iPod, infact, it has even got audio and video out capabilities so you can watch video on your iPod throught the i931.  I know there are people selling them on eBay for $750 but retail is about half that so wait for a cheaper one to show up on eBay or check your Urban Outfitters.
