I have noticed a lot more Artful Dodger-esque designs on Rocawear clothing ever since Jay bought the company from Scott Langton back in November of last year. These jeans are the perfect example of how Rocawears designers have been influenced, but not completely taken over by Artful Dodger’s design theories. These jeans have a lot of big colourful stitching about the back but unlike the British label, the images used in said stitching are very afrocentric american. While Dodger designs tend to be scary wolves or skeleton robbers wearing tophats, the Rocawear jean is using half-naked black women with afro’s. I’ll let you be the judge, but I think Artful Dodger’s influence is a welcome feather in Rocawear’s cap. Check out the pants here.

I feel like LRG is trying to emulate those fresh sweaters you see when you stop for gas while driving through the middle of butt-fuck nowhere. You know the ones. They usually have a picture of a bald eagle or something and they say “The Queen Charlotte Islands, British Columbia”. For real though, this is a dope sweatshirt and if what’s to come is only a fraction of this thing’s freshness, I’m satisfied. This is a damn good start to the season for Lifted Research. Pick up one of these bad boys here.

Time for some new, simple, and beautiful denim from the boys over at Lifted Research. This pair is called “Another Batch From Scratch” hinting at the fact that when they make a new pair of jeans, they start from the ground and work up. Every single garment is a labour of love and these jeans are no different. I’ve spoken before about how great I think all the, some might say, boring jeans are; these are no different. You can see how LRG likes to keep it simple while still playing with the stitching on the back pockets. On the left side of the two pockets, four different coloured threads start making the same “L” pattern we’ve grown to love. As they travel accross the pocket though, they become further apart, then finally, start to come back together again. Also, the finishing threads that secure the back pockets to the rest of the pants are playfully sewn down the side of the pocket creating another taste of the freshness in a plain pair of pants. Dr. Jay’s just dropped this pair of pants so they’re going to have it in your size. Pick em up.

LRG’s Spring stock is beginning to arrive at Dr. Jays. Good thing too; it’s about time for some new hoodies. What you’re looking at here is the “Kings of the Kitchen” zip-up. It features an intuitive all-over print of chefs cooking and cleaning, with LRG logos spattered about. The front hand pockets are zippered to maximize the streamlined look and prevent your cell phone from falling out. This hoodie also features the silver Lifted Research pendant on the back of the neck like many other LRG garments. You can be the first to own some of LRG’s Spring collection by clicking here.

Normally, I don’t like to undercut the good people over at Dr. Jay’s, but consumers have the right to pay the lowest price and this is it. If you jog on over to this guy’s auction, you’ll see he’s selling both the jeans and the track jacket for an incredible price. Even at discounted prices, the jeans and the track jacket separately just can’t touch this price.
Dr Jay’s does however have the advantage when it comes to supply. They have these Jasper articles in many different colours and sizes so if it’s your cup of tea, and the auctioned pair won’t fit, go check em out.

You had better warm up to these warm ups because I’m gonna be wearing them all the time. I have never had the urge to look like such a gangster in the comfort of my own home. You can either wear these for running or whatever, if you’re into that whole 80’s sweatsuit trip, or you can rock them leisurely around the house on Sunday. This is a really good deal from this seller because these pieces sell individually for $80. It’s like a two for one. Go check out the auctions.

Some of my favorite stuff that LRG makes is the simple stuff. When I throw on my plain classic 47 fit jeans, I really appreciate how well they build jeans. I have had them for four years now and there’s not a single rip, limited fading, and they still look good. Same goes for my plain grey zip-up hoodie which is not unlike this one. I can wear it anywhere and it is truly the most comfortable article I own. It is a great way to realize how LRG is not only committed to details LRG is, but also to the quality of the garment. Need a new hoodie that you can wear for absolutely anything? It’s right here.
