To all my Air Jordan fans out there, I hope you woke up early today and headed straight to your local store and get the new Air Jordan 6 Rings, which came out today. I really like the concept behind this one, it’s a mix or hybrid of some of the older Air Jordan sneakers. As usually Air Jordan’s usually cost around $150, which is not a bad price and you can get it from Finish Line
While you are over there at Finishline.com, check out the Olympic version of the Air Jordan that would cost you about $124.99, The Olympian Basketball Shoe
Danm, they look good!!
One of my favorite sneakers will always be the air force 1, we used to call them “uptowns” in NYC for the older heads reading this post, back in the 90’s. I figured why not take a quick look at the history of the Air Force 1’s which is “It’s the No. 1 seller in the history of athletic footwear,” according to an Article NYtimes wrote in 2007 about the Air Force 1.
Nike released the Air Force 1 in 1982 as a basketball shoe and it quickly became popular among the players as an endorsement shoe, but as one might know once the street dudes start rocking something it sure to take off (example Timberland boots). For the record Nelly did not make it “cool” for people to wear the air force 1 at least for us here in NY. The Air Force 1 has always been a popular sneaker in the east coast of US. Summers were always the time for a fresh white one white pair, I specifically remember the NYC edition when they first came out, I had a good 2 or 3 pairs of them and I was always buying and sending them to my cousins in Florida.
Nike Air Force 1 was named after the Air Force One plane which is the name of the US presidents plane. Now a days only NBA start that wears the Air Force 1 is Rasheed Wallace, and his model is called Sheed’s. One of the best thing about the Air Force one is that you can customize it to however color you want or desire, there are tons of sites out there that can do that for you, Google it.
We have just completed transition of ownership of the site and can’t possibly wait to tell you guys how excited I am to come on board as the new author and editor of the site. Now a quick background, I am from and live in Brooklyn, so styling is the blood. It’s hard to catch a BK cat out in the street without some fresh kicks, jeans and shirt to match. If you’re not on point you’re not in the game and will always be trailing behind.
Now my goals for the site are simple, find the nicest and fresh gears I can find and present them to you, the way I think they need to presented.
The other day I was out on Fulton mall in downtown Bk and spotted these pair of reeboks call The Pump Omni Lite Exoticlux and I just had to get them, the light brown leather color looks real good especially for chilling or hanging out on the block with the some of my dudes.
I also went and copped me this nice t-shirt by Pepe Jeans to go with along with it, I am into screen-print design and embroidery type designs that we see quite often nowadays.
Now you can’t possibly tell me that I did not look fly this past week-end when I wore those kicks with that shirt for a BBQ at my boy’s house in hillside, Queens. I did noticed a few chicks checking out my way, now that’s what I call pimp! As an added bonus I also copped this Pepe Jeans shirt for another day to match with the sneaker.
In the coming months the site will go through a dramatic change, at this moment the site is only talking about men related clothing, we will be adding a women section to the site for our female readers.
We’ve recently launched The Sneaker Lab which is an online sneaker search engine for shoe addicts who like to shop. We not only feature the hottest customs, nikes and more but we also have a search engine built in to find what you’re looking for.
We’re also looking to do private sneaker sales for people who want a good targeted audience to sell their coveted shoes. So if you want to get the word out, we will be doing podcasts blogging and social network marketing.
Well… They’re not the exact sneakers from the movie (shame) but they certainly are influenced by them. This doesn’t bother me so much because the kicks are fresh as hell, but still, you thought Nike would have learned from the Air Tech Challenges. Nike re-released the original Air Tech Challenges lsat spring in an ugly ass mustard colour instead of the beautiful lime green. People were pissed, the shoes ended up in outlets around the country so for the ATC II they left everything the same, the people rejoiced, they sold out quickly. People have been asking for the Marty McFly Nike’s for decades now and this is the closest Nike has come to reproducing them. It might be the closest they ever come and I think consumers are afraid of this.
The shoes are limited edition Hyperdunks and they boast the same weird high ankle section that is reminiscent of the originals. They also have the “Back to the Future” logo arrows and “2015″ printed in an awesome hot lava colour on the tongues. Sources are saying they will be out by the end of the summer but no word yet on the size of the run or who will be retailing them. Oh yeah, the powerlaces are not included; maybe for the real replicas. Check eBay often because the first pairs of demos should be showing up there first.
Nothing screams Japanese like Evisu and that is clearly the truth with these sky high top. I don’t think I could pull myself together to rock the pavement beat in these, but I know some of you cats out there will be feeling these. Dr Jays gets the price down to only $125 USD.
Puma keeps on pushing out the casual sneakers and these are perfect for the summer activities. White goes with anything so these are an easy choice to hit the streets. Puma has lowered their prices this season but 10-15 dollars this year so these are only $65 USD online at Dr Jays!
