The only thing I find sicker than the Vans Black Perf Pack is a set of said pack in white. Like their black predecessors, the whites are a set of four perforated leather kicks perfect for the summer. The lucky shoes that get the perforated treatment are the Sk8-Hi, Half Cab, Chukka boot, and Slip-On. The perforations aren’t just circles or squares though, they’re a pattern unique to the Vans vault line. These are already available online if they aren’t in your favorite stores yet. Vans Vault retailers should be getting them sometime soon though so keep your eyes open.

Supra is quickly becoming one of my favorite shoe companies with their constant releases of super fresh Skytops. This is the latest version of Chad Muska’s signature shoe, the “413 Silver”. It is a collaboration between Supra and Los Angeles’ Factory 413 making it the second official collaboration on the Skytop. Thirty shoes will be delivered to each of the stores listed below on May 10th making for a total of 330 pairs of kicks. This is a very limited run and you should consider yourself very lucky to ascertain a pair of these fantastic sneakers.

There is a pair on eBay right now and bidding is already fierce. Buy it now for $650 or you can try your luck and bid the old fashioned way. Warning though: people are already willing to pay $305 for this pair of kicks.

The next shoe in the Nike ACG inspired Air Force One pack is the ”Mowabb”.  This shoe displays all the little details of its classic ACG predecessor like the Hurache style tongue, the perforated leather mid, and the speckled sidewall.  Normally I’m not an AF1 guy at all, but cross it with a classic ACG and you’ve got a winner.  The sneaker was released today at select Nike dealers for $150 but if you can’t seem to find them anywhere, there’s a few pairs on eBay.

A nice clean cut white sneaker from the fine folks at Blac Label called the La Verdad Mid. It has been well over 10 years since I’ve worn a pair of mid tops but they seem to be all the place lately. I’m feeling Blac Label’s approach over the recent Reebok mids which are over the top for anything to match my wardrobe. Dr Jays has these on cheaper than normal at the moment for the price of $67.98 down from $85.00.

For the first time this year, I can look out my window and say it looks like spring. All this terrible weather lately has been sincerely harshing my buzz. I’m going to go out and say that I think boat shoes are going to make a huge splash in summer fashions this year. True, they have been around the last couple sunny seasons but this year I think they will really begin to hit the mainstream. You are looking at my favorite boat shoe contribution from Timberland, the Cruisemaster II in hemp.  The style is so classic that its beauty is undeniable.  The fact that it’s made from something as wholesome as hemp really adds to this particular shoe’s cause. No word yet on whether the sole will actually prevent you from slipping on a boat deck but I don’t think that’s really top priority here. These things have mad collecter’s appeal. I don’t know what’s hotter, the shoes or the boxes they came in. These limited edition PE Lasers were auction pieces in three different cities. Firstly, the yellow pair is the New York City pair in a size 13; Kobe signed the box for this pair. The second pair are the Texas edition of the kicks.  These shoes are the largest of the set at size 14.  They made the shoes big like everything else in Texas.  Finally, in red white and black, the Chicago version of the kicks is a size 9 and the acutal shoes are signed by Kobe on the toebox.  If you want to be one of the only people in the world with three of these shoes, two of em signed, this auction is for you.  Everybody else, keep dreaming.

New Balance takes themed sneakers to new heights with the “Coffee Bean” 576’s. Both of these kicks feature a hemp upper like traditional coffee harvesters would carry and transport the caffeine filled beans. The traditionally stitched “N” on the side is instead hand painted on. Other “earthy” elements to the kicks include cork panels as well as woodgrain style TPU on the heel (shown after jump). Not surprisingly, the footbed is tricked out as well as a gum sole on the bottom.So far Streething has given a preview of just 2 pairs in this collection, but we will keep our eyes peeled for more. According to them, these will make it to retail doors in Southeast Asia in August, but since NB USA prefers info leaked closer to release, its safe to say that just because we haven’t heard chatter Stateside doesn’t rule out their release.
