Ed Hardy Clothing Is Awful

Published by Style-Fiend at 1:40 pm under Style News

Ok I just don’t get it. The Ed Hardy clothing line from Christian Audigier is perhaps one of the most trendy lines I’ve seen lately and I think his shit is ugly.  The line seems to attract the biggest of doucebags who like to either pretend they have a lot of money, or either do. I almost just blogged about some of the latest threads out on this line of clothing but refrained and opted out to bitch about it instead.

I mainly have a problem with their shirts because they usually are what people buy, and they seem to have the most hideous designs on them. I’ve seen everything from pictures of bulldogs to fake diamond studded jewels littering the rainbow of colors usually used. Someone please comment and tell me why you would wear a shirt like this;

Honestly, what grown man would wear this? At least this shirt isn’t bejeweled! To top it all off this purple shirt costs a mere $92 USD which makes me wonder have we become that entrenched with looking good we’d pay that? The next item on my hit list is a little more reasonably priced at $78.98;

Well the last time I checked punk was dead. It’s filled with teeny bopper crap that’s so far from punk it’s jumped into the pop category. If you look closely you will notice the shitty fake gems sparkling from the font which screams “Shoot me now!”

Now lets move onto the denim that makes my stomach curdle with feelings of sick. Right after I show you guys what I think is perhaps the whackest pair of jeans Dr Jays has to offer, I’ll redeem Ed Hardy with something I actually liked on their denim line. First up is the classic rhinestone litter on the back of the ass for all to see….

The recent trend of big ass patterns on the back of jeans can either bit hit or miss, and these are a miss. Take some notes from the likes of Evisu who can somehow pull of nice big logos and designs on the back pockets. Ed Hardy…..why the rhinestones?! Now they keep it simple with their basic jeans and I like these. Simple, practicle, priced right and stylish with about any shirt and shoes you could throw together;

So I’m hoping to hear from fashion fans around the world on your thoughts about Ed Hardy…whack or not. I imagine I’m going to get flames abroad but I welcome it and encourage it. You won’t catch me dead wearing anything from this clothing line and I hope this fad dies off quickly.
